Coming off the heels of their Pelagial album and touring all summer on Summer Slaughter, The Ocean are kicking back and finishing up a small EP to be release in 2014. Do they ever stop working?
The EP, which wasn't so much announced as it was thrown into a little caption on a Facebook photo album, will consist of two songs that didn't make Pelagial. The band said all they need left for the songs, since there wouldn't have been any written initially given that Pelagial was supposed to be an instrumental record. I'm left wondering the songs were written with the whole "sinking down to the ocean floor" concept in mind, and if so, where they'd have been in the grand scheme of the concept had that made the record. The bottom line is this; new The Ocean in 2014, and that rocks.
