February is the month where holidays make people feel bad – bad about not having a Valentine, and bad about not being president. Which is why episode 52 of Issue Oriented is the perfect way to forget your woes. Go ahead – get lost in our eyes. We don't have to tell a soul.
First, Joey Cape (Lagwagon, Bad Astronaut, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes) and Jon Snodgrass (Drag The River) participate in a tag-team interview that covers a wide range of topics – from sadness, to money, to regionalism, and everything in between. Joey and Jon also gave a stirring performance live in the Issue Oriented Studio. Not to be missed.
Then Freddy Cricien, a.k.a. Freddy Madball, returns to Issue Oriented for a great discussion. This discussion touches on a whole bunch of big-people stuff, like religion and politics, as well as the release of Freddy's new hip-hop record, Catholic Guilt. What a great discussion.
This episode of Issue Oriented is sponsored by Warbird Entertainment. Check out WarbirdEntertainment.com for info on releases from Harbour 81, Guns On The Run, Let Me Out and many more!
The big night has come and gone, the 1st Annual METAL INJECTION LIVECAST AWARDS is in the bag and what a show it was. Hosted by JCVD himself, we decide to award ourselves in the field of excellence in live podcasting. We gave out awards for categories such as "Best On Air Revelation", "Best Skit", "Best Character", "Song Parody of the Year", "Best Celebrity Appearance of the Year" and more. Also, JCVD sings a song, and Rob sang a new song which some people in the livechat called the funniest song we ever played.
We have made both JCVD's and Rob's song available for separate download. Here they are: Rob's Song // JCVD's Song

As we mentioned on last week's Livecast, we decided to take a trip out into the Mojave desert. While there, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to shoot a new episode of our music video podcast, The FiX. Rob doesn't seem too comfortable in this environment, but luckily Frank is there to calm him down. Videos from ARSIS, SIX FEET UNDER, REVOCATION, EXODUS & MALEFICE are featured.
Here is a clip Sid shot of us in the desert from our trip to Vegas/LA which we talk about during the show.
Rob, Noa, Sid and 3D are back from the West Coast, all the drugs are hidden, the bodies are disposed of and the gambling debts are almost paid off. We start off the show giving a pretty thorough recap of our recent trip to Vegas, LA and NAMM in Anaheim. We learn about what Sid did in the bathroom while Darren was asleep, how Sid almost wanted to kill Rob, how Darren disappeared in Vegas, and much more. We spend almost an hour talking about it and it's great. Also, we get a caller from Charlotte who confronts Rob about ignoring him at New England Metalfest. Also, we bring back everybody's favorite segment, Thrash It or Trash It playing tracks from Shredding the Envelope, Hatred, Onrik and Sikfuk.
We had a very short playlist, here is what we played this week: WRATH AND RAPTURE – A Breathtaking Tragedy ENSLAVED – Lunar Force THUNDERSTONE – Star
Also, don't forget to vote in our year end polls (more…)
We leave for one week and all hell breaks loose on Metal Injection. The site is slown to a crawl, no updates, what the hell is going? Rest assured, we seem to be putting the slowness behind us and updates will resume at a fever pace very soon. We figured what perfect way to start again then being with another great Livecast Mixtape. The crew has compiled some of our favorite moments from the last few months including:
- Rob discusses hitting on Noa in high school
- The Danzig pardoy, "ROBEERRT"
- A lesson in customer service at Walmart
- A candid interview with Barack Obama
- Thor Shredsteen's Thorfume commercial
- Emotional songs about Cocoa, Florida
- The Googler song
- Sid and Loni's wet moments in bed
- Toothgnasher's Epicast invasion and a phone call from Elise from reigninblonde.com.
- Appearances by Oderus Urungus and "Peter Steele"
We'll be back with an all new episode next week, and don't forget to vote in our Year-End Awards

This week, Santa Clause was supposed to join us, but ended up coming late. So, we took matters into our own hands and gave a away a free CD to each of our callers. The majority of the show was dominated by us fucking with the callers. Then, Santa finally showed up and he seemed to be in no condition to be on the radio. Yet, we still let him on the show. Things get a little weird on this edition of the Livecast. Noa constantly gets private messages throughout the show from a stalker fan who promises to call in next week. ReigninBlonde.com's Elise calls in and gets harassed about sleeping with Rob. Also, one random dude photoshops a photo of Noa in an odd position (Update: We took down the link because I guess we have some decency or something -Rob). We get a bunch of phone calls from a junkie named Colin who claims to have a lot in common with Darren. Also, we discuss the award categories for our Year End Awards, which happen on January 6th. If you have any ideas for categories or nominees leave a comment about it.
