Before heading out on the Summer Slaughter tour to fill-in for bass with Job For A Cowboy, guitarist Mike "Gunface" McKenzie made sure to update fans on some of his projects, including perennial Metal Injection favorites The Red Chord and some of his other side projects. The most exciting point was that he and fellow shit talker and bassist Greg Weeks have been writing new Red Chord material and they're hoping to put out a release this year. Here are all of his tweets collected:

“Greg and I have been working on new TRC songs as well. Stomach Earth is now finished, on to the next thing. So Stomach Earth, Unraveller, TRC & at least one other release within the next year hopefully. Stomach Earth & Unraveller will both be out in the fall. I also sang a few parts and made some guitar noise on the new Old Man Gloom. Go pick it up, it’s excellent.”
