EMMURE To Release The "Record Of The Year"

That's what Frankie Palmeri thinks, anyway.

That's what Frankie Palmeri thinks, anyway.

Vocalist Frankie Palmeri of Emmure fame doesn't seem to think we here at Metal Injection have much love for him, but that's not entirely true! I don't really hate or love the dude's music- it's a thing that exists in the same dimension I also exist in and neither one of us bug each other. C'est la vie!

Anyway, Palmeri seems to think the band's new record is going to push their boundaries and be one of the best records of 2014, if not the best record of 2014 according to an interview he did with Eat Geek Play.

“As far as the new album is concerned, I’m actually going ahead and talking about the real me; which is, I think at this point, a place where I can really be myself and feel comfortable with doing that. It’s definitely dangerous waters because I’m exposing so much of my personal self in the music, but I think that’s what makes it interesting. I don’t want to hold back and not give the best record I possibly can for people who love our band.”

And:

“I really think this is probably the fucking most diabolical, sickest fucking record we’ve ever made. Everyone’s going to fucking remember this shit all fucking year. It’s going to be THE record of the year, I promise you that.”

You know what? I hope they do put out a sick record. Speaker of the Damned wasn't too bad from what I've heard, but that's also all I know from the band as well, so maybe my perception is a little skewed. What do you think? Do Emmure have it in them to put out a solid record this year or is the Internet going to dump hate all over the group once more?
