Bay Area thrashers Forbidden have announced their first annual Omega Fest, scheduled for May 4 at The UC Theatre in Berkeley, CA.
The genesis of Omega Fest stems from Forbidden's desire to dictate their artistic narrative – the freedom to choose their performance venues, schedules, and repertoire. Omega Fest, is a manifestation of this vision, aiming to become a staple in the Bay Area's musical calendar.
Joining the bill as co-headliners alongside Forbidden is none other than Biohazard, marking their Bay Area return after three decades.
"Forbidden announces the most exciting project for 2024 and for many years to come. Omega Fest 2024!" wrote Forbidden. "We have put together one of the most amazing bills featuring some of the greatest metal and hard-core bands and brought it to the bay area for next May."
Omega Fest is also envisioned as a platform for emerging talent too. Moving forward Forbidden pledges to handpick a mix of national acts and promising local bands, ensuring a vibrant blend of musical styles that mirrors the eclectic spirit of European festivals.
