We had two very special guests on this edition of the Metal Injection Livecast, Mark and Mitch of Suicide Silence. They joined us in the studio for the entire episode. We spent most of the episode taking callers from fans who asked the band about their new album, The Black Crown which hits stores on July 12th. In the second hour, we played everybody's favorite game show, Death or No Death, where we get a list of bands and have to decide which band is fake.     I have an honest question, like not trying to be a dick, but why you do you guys plug this band so hard? Is it because you are actually stoked on what they are doing or is it to attract more people to the site and more people to listen to the 'cast?

      Well with you, Sean, 3D and Noa I'd say the later. With Rob I'm not so sure. He used to like Korn/nu metal and this band is like the modern day version of nu metal.

        This brings up something I was meaning to mention actually. Whenever we have bands like this on the show, people talk shit in the chat, but nobody ever calls in and confronts the band on what they don't like about them. How about tonight, some of you guys who don't like this band call in and let them know your issues? I think that would make for a pretty great show. Maybe they'll win you over, or maybe they'll confirm what you hate about them, but at least you'll be able to talk some shit straight to the musicians.

          I've said the same thing a few times in the chat. In fact I left a comment on the last episode with this band, "while I can't stand Suicide Silence, I bet none of you have the balls to call in and tell him to his (almost) face that SS sucks".

          It would be even better if you shit talk these bands while they're sitting next to you haha.

            While Suicide Silence bother me, they don't bother me enough to come up with something to shit talk about. If this was Chelsea Grin or other bands I loathe, I would definitely call in myself to deliver the ball kick.

    Gah! I got so caught up in the game that I forgot to give credit for helping out with the game. Ross Gnarly contributed a bunch of bands and categories to Death or No Death and was a huge help. Sorry dude. I didn't mean to slight you.

    it doesn't matter if you listen to the band or not… Mark & Mitch are two funny guys. They meshed well with the rest of us on the show and made this a grand slam of an episode.

      I agree with Noa, this had the same feel as the Andrew WK interview. They came across as really cool guys and even some people who didn't even give a shit about their music might have gotten a better impression of them as a result.
