Metal Injection

I absolutely love roasts. My all-time favorite modern roast has to be the Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson, mostly because of Courtney Love showing up incredibly numb and then everybody calling her out for being a complete mess. That's why I'm reservedly excited for this Rock & Roll Roast of Zakk Wylde, presented by Guitar World magazine. Zakk has plenty to make fun of, so it should be a fun time. I'm also surprised at the lineup for the dias: 

The roast will be hosted by Sharon Osbourne, will feature professional comedians  Jim Norton, Brian Posehn and Jim Florentine, some of Zakk's musician buddies Ozzy Osbourne,  Anthrax's Scott Ian and Slipknot's Corey Taylor. Also, the dias will feature two pro wrestlers, Chris Jericho and fucking "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. How the hell did they get Austin?

The best part is this is all for a good cause as a portion of all proceeds will go to the MusiCares charity. It all goes down on January 19th, 2012, which will be the kickoff to the week's NAMM festivities. More info on the event can be found here.
