This year kicked off with At the Gates mysteriously teasing something that looked like a new album, which as we now know is definitely a new album called At War With Reality that'll be out at some point this fall via Century Media. On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the band took to Facebook to post the below picture announcing they're beginning the demoing process for the whole thing!
I didn't notice it, but those are electronic drums as one fan pointed out in the comment section. Of course that's been something fans have speculated even since the teaser videos, because obviously you can never use electronic drums on anything and yiu'll be crucified on the Internet if you do. Except they're not. The band responded to the comments with this:
"vdrums are an amazing tool when you are just arranging stuff and coming up with parts. The real recording will of course be done on a live kit. / Adrian"
Bam! Live drums. At the Gates are back and are totally going to kill it!
