Legal Woes Force One Version Of ENTOMBED To Change Their Name

Remember when we were talking about Entombed releasing a new album called Back to the Front and then absolutely nothing happened for a while? Hell, we even got a single from it in November after it completely missed its' Oct. 29, 2013 release date. Well that version of Entombed with vocalist Lars Göran Petrov, drummer Olle Dahlstedt, guitarist Nico Elgstrand and bassist Victor Brandt are now being legally forced to change their name to Entombed A.D.

Gee, where have we seen this before in the past year?

The regular Entombed is original guitarists Alex Hellid and Ulf Cederlund, who will be joined by former frontman Orvar Säfström to perform the group's 1991 record Clandestine on Feb. 1 at Gävle Konserthus in Gävle, Sweden along with the 65-piece Gävle Symphonic Orchestra and a 40-piece choir.

So what's up with the legal issues? Frankly we're not entirely sure. When Petrov was asked in an interview with France's MetalChroniques.fr if Hellid was intentially left out of the biography that came with the promo of Back to the Front, he was… short about it.

"I do not want to speak publicly about this at the moment; this is something we want to keep internal and private for now. But this is not an error in the biography. Next question?"

Entombedsryche's legal battles will continue and we will keep you posted.
