Joey Jordison confirms NEW Slipknot album in 2012

On the topic of the Golden Gods Awards, while talking with Joey Jordison about his current project, Murderdolls on the black carpet, Joey let it slip out at the very end of the interview that the scheduled release for a new record from Slipknot will be in 2012. Are you kiddies excited now? It seems like just yesterday the band was declaring that Volume 3 would have been their last record, but now there are plans for even more music. Ultimately, this is pretty exciting news as I have always liked the band. Are you guys stoked?

    Well honestly, Vol. 3 SHOULD've been their last album. AHIG was a shitfest except for a few tracks so their new one better not be so "amazingly, experimentally, out of everyones league" or whatever Corey called it. 'Cause that means we're gonna get "Snuff II" and more shit like Vendetta or Gehenna.

    I swore I would never listen to AHIG after the first time, then I ended up playing it several times. Still think it's shit though…just catchy. Pisses me off when we all know they could do so much better.

    you should realize that ahig is a much more
    mature album than other three volumes…
    It does not have to be better than them. The more you listen to ahig the more you understand it… I listen to Slipknot a lot, and i love that band.

    Slipknot words are more than music…
    I myself would like to hear more songs like
    metabolic or surfacing, but Corey does
    not have vocal capabilities for constant screaming anymore…

    While AHIG is by far their weakest album, it was still better than most of the aids infected bullshit coming out of the music industry the last few years. Justin Bieber anyone? Very exited to hear where they go from here, will at least listen to the new shit. And I'm a 33 year old MAGGOT FOR LIFE so fuck yall who don't understand. The new album could be complete shit, and it would not make me like their older stuff any less.
