Here's The Trailer For The Upcoming Aluk Todolo & Insect Ark Tour!

Aluk Todolo and Insect Ark are two of the weirdest, and most exciting bands navigating the scene today, which makes their upcoming West Coast tour (Along with multiple appearances at Brooklyn's very own Stardust Festival) a can't miss event for fans of post rock, experimental music, and generally cerebral sonic adventures. There is a very profound sense of the otherworldly with what both bands represent, making them a perfect pair. Aluk Todolo are a spaced out post rock band who can't help but to fascinate and have only ever played select US dates, and Insect Ark are experimental doomsters, and a band who I've seen at least a dozen times, so there's gotta be a reason for that right? This is the sort of event that you don't often get to see – so the fact that occult rock fans up and down the West Coast will have a chance is a pretty big deal. If you're an Easterner like me – then it just might be worth travelling to New York for the occasion!

Also of interest is the tour trailer the bands put together – a really nifty two and a half minute long glimpse into what makes both of these projects so great. If this doesn't mesmerize you and inspire you to schlep out to one of these very special performances then I don't know what will. There's a lot to dig in to with both of these bands and this trailer serves as your invitation to an evening of transcendent quasi-psychedelic reveries travelling through the sadistic machinations of twisted musical minds. A little flowery? Probably – but these bands deserve it!
