THE GHOST INSIDE Drummer Reveals He Lost A Leg In Bus Crash
We knew The Ghost Inside's horrific bus crash last November, that left their bus driver killed, was bad. But as we learn more and more details, it gets worse. The band have been living in a hospital, trying to get their life back.
We learned yesterday that vocalist Jonathan Vigil broke both his legs and his necks in the crash, but turns out he was lucky. Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk revealed he lost a leg in the accident, as well as suffering fractures in his "ribs, spine, and hip along with some ligament tears in his rotator cuff and Labrum." Despite the huge setbacks, Vigil vows to drum again:
So the rumors are true everyone! Unfortunately I did lose my leg in this accident. This is one injury among many others such as fractures in my ribs, spine, and hip along with some ligament tears in my rotator cuff and Labrum. I have remained in positive and good spirits since I woke up from a 10 day coma in November to the sight of my missing leg. Not going to let it stop me. I don't care what anyone says. It's a long road ahead, but I WILL play drums again. Can't wait to get back on the kit. Couldn't have dealt with this without the love and support from my brothers in TGI & crew, friends, fans and family. Thank you all
Fundraising efforts since the crash have raised almost $150,000 dollars and the band's label are donating all profits from the sale of the band's records directly back to the band to help with medical costs, so if you want to support the band, buy some of their merch.
