BEHEMOTH Frontman Nergal Diagnosed With Leukemia

Nergal of BEHEMOTHThis is not good news at all. We assumed it was bad when Behemoth announced they are canceling all upcoming shows but I didn't think it was this bad. Metal Underground is reporting that Polish news site TVP has uncovered that the disease is leukemia and it's past the point of chemotherapy treatment, and he would need a bone marrow transplant.

There are apparently only 100 thousand donors of bone marrow in Poland, where the population is over 38 million. Nergal's fiance, Polish singer Doda has donated her bone marrow but it is apparently unknown if it's compatible.

We can only hope that the condition of Nergal, real name Adam Darksi, improves and he can return to kicking ass on the road with Behemoth. Our best wish to him and his family during this rough time.
