Three Of NOISEM's Five Members Quit, Band Is Now A Trio
Good news! Noisem is aiming to release a new album called Cease To Exist this year, and alongside that we've got some bad news! Vocalist Tyler Carnes, bass Billy Carnes, and guitarist Yago Ventura have all quit the band. Noisem has announced that bassist and vocalist Ben Anft, who was the band's original vocalist when they were still called Necropsy back in 2008, has joined once more, making the lineup Anft on bass and vocals, guitarist Sebastian Phillips, and drummer Harley Phillips.
You can check out the band's full statement below, which doesn't make it sound like this was a very amicable split. No word on if Cease To Exist features the new trio lineup, or was the final album with the five-piece lineup.
"After a fairly long hiatus, we’d like to fill everyone in on whats been going on. Due to quite a few points of contention we regret to announce the departure of Billy, Tyler and Yago from Noisem. In lieu of that, the original vocalist of Necropsy, Ben Anft (of Castle Freak) will be taking over both bass and vocal duties. We would like to announce our new album Cease To Exist, has been recorded and we will be taking the next steps to get it out to all you crazy schmucks.
It’s been a rough year or so for us, we are incredibly proud with how our new material has come out and we are beyond excited to get it out to all of you. Here is a short video of our set at Sidebar this past Sunday. Stayed tuned. Nothing but love and appreciation to all of our dedicated fans."
