Well, this kind of sucks! Belphegor was about to hit up North America with Rotting Christ, Beheaded and Svart Crown later on this month for a pretty damn evil tour… but alas, that won't be happening. The band, specifically frontman and guitarist Helmuth Lehner, took to Facebook to explain the situation.
“After fighting many months now (the last 4 months have been terrible), my mother is at the end. Her body is decaying more and more and will not survive the next weeks (maybe days) or will fall in coma soon. I will not risk being away at this time.”
Ugh, that's terrible. We send Lehner and his family the best wishes given the circumstances and hope Belphegor can come back soon! No word on if the tour will continue on without the group or if everything is completely scrapped.
