I would love to attend the February 19th show in New York, because everyone else tells me it isn't worth finding a way to get there and paying all that money, and I plan to prove them wrong.

Friday the 13th, (Feb) St Paul Minnesota, i drove to Chicago and saw the ALMIGHTY AMAZING PERFECT BEING OF METAL (AKA MESHUGGAH) in May with MinistrY last tour and it was unreal i believe Meshuggah is one of the greatest bands of all time and I own all their records (other then Catch 33) and obZen was my album of the year last year, I have been a fan of THE FACELESS for years now, i saw them on 5 tours for the last album and this new album has risen them to the next level of extreme progressive tech death metal, they truly earned their spot on this unreal tour. Cynic's comeback is awesome as hell for the Atmosphere Death Metal freaks, its fucking amazing, the drummer is fuckin sickkkk. I live and breath Metal, but putting myself through college cost a lot of money, but all my extra money goes to Metal, Metal Injection fucking rules and so does THE FACELESS and……MESHUGGAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I didn't get a chance to see Meshuggah open for Ministry a few months back here in Spokane and would love to see them headline!!!! Destroy Erase Improve is by far one of the best cd's of all time!

    The Faceless rules tooooo!

I have been training my little 11yr old brother in the ways of metal. The first thing he does in the morning is check out Metal Injection for news AND today we see this Contest! He has been dying to go to his first concert.
He is a huge fan of The Faceless, Meshuggah and Metal injection and i KNOW it would mean the world to him if Metal injection/The faceless made it possible.
    THANK YOU

because i live in st. louis and this is the closest stop they're making. so i have to make the trek up there. i think it has been snowing up there since december and if it continues, winning this would make the trip a whole hell of a lot easier and more exciting!

also, i have never seen any of these bands before. no one comes to st. louis. i love cynic and the faceless so i'm going whether i win or not, so please help me out.

    1) I'm in the minority of metal fans who is a broke college student.

    2) And most importantly, the Feb. 11 show is MY BIRTHDAY!!!! 23 years old, so hook a brother up and let me bday headbang all night!!

As an ardent metal fan who also happens to be a busy college student, I very rarely have the opportunity to make it to shows anymore. This concert is only a few hours' drive away, and it's on a Sunday night, which is perfect timing. Plus, I absolutely love ObZen, Traced in Air, and Planetary Duality, and I've never had the opportunity to see any of these bands live.

On Jan 30 it's my Dad's B-day. I want to take my him to see CYNIC, since he was a big fan of theirs when they came out with Focus. Unfortunately, he was never able to go see them at a live show. He's aware of a Cynic reunion, but doesn't know anything about the U.S. tour. Also, I personally love the Faceless.

Meshauggah is by far unquestionably my favorite band ever. My19th birthday is Feb 17 and in Canada we can drink at 19, so i wanna get drunk as fuck and see Meshuggah. It would only add to my Alcohol and Ganj funds if you guys hooked me up with some free tickets. So if you guys are really as metal as you say give the tickets to the most metal junkie! PS if this helps at all i have SLAYER tatooed across my back and the album cover of akeldama on my calf!

Though I was happy that my family member was going to be okay, I was still really bummed that I missed a fuckin awesome show. Hopefully I will get to see them this time around.

I have been listening to the faceless everyday since the first time I heard "An Autopsy." I fucking love this band and all I wanna do is smoke trees with the band again. Me and my friend blazed with Micheal Keene last time. It was so awesome because we are both guitarists and Micheal is one of our favorites. We just wanna see our favorite band and get em loaded after. Seeing Meshuggah in the same night would be epic…
I'm a broke college student who listens and plays metal all day. Metal injection has been one of my favorite metal sites cuz its hella funny and the videos and interviews aren't from some lameass asking retarded questions. Plus i'm sure you guys are all stoners just like me haha. I could write an essay about how much I want those tixxx, but i'll spare your life. So hook it up I just wanna get fucked in my ear pusy(s)

I live in Prince Edward Island and rarely do any decent Metal bands come anywhere close to this Province. I have not yet had a chance to go to an actual Metal concert, puchasing tickets to a concert and a plane ticket are difficult to juggle at the same time. Scoring these tickets would lighten that load and give me the amazing opportunity to rock out for the first time at a live metal concert, especially to MESHUGGAH. Raise the fuckin devil horns while rocking out with the fans to some metal would be amazing.

This show is absolutely mandatory for me. I haven't had the chance to let Meshuggah grace me with their heavy songs live yet. I had tickets to the Toronto show last year but I could not get the time off work to make it down. I really want to see them this time, it would mean alot!

  34. 's Avatar Neek says:

More importantly, and tragically this must see show is happening the same night Soilwork/Darkane/Swallow The Sun is in town. If not for those free tickets my head may explode trying to choose between the two…

Please don't let my head explode.

Well, after finding out that they had decided to record another album I knew that there would be a tour to follow, and best part is they are coming to my hometown. Unfortunately I am broke and therefore asking you for help in getting me to the concert.

Feb. 03 – House of Blues – Hollywood, CA

So I really want to go to this show and I have two great reasons. 1 is because it's going to be the most awesome combination of bands and 2 (long story, ready?)…

I Love the Faceless and I really wanted to see them on Nov. 12th at Key Club in Hollywood so I got a ticket. I was really low on money so I was trying to work as many hours at my job as I could. I work pretty much whenever I want so I coulld have taken that day off but I needed money so I worked that day. I only worked because I started at 9am and figured that I'd be off by 7pm, 10 at the latest so at least I would see the Faceless since they were headlining. No. Not even close. I ended up getting off work at 1145 pm! That's a 14 hour+ work day. So I figured why not go and see if maybe they're still playing? As soon as I was off I changed really quick and drove to Hollywood and got to Key Club at 12am. Walked up to the doors and they were open, showing me an empty venue. I asked the bouncer if the show was over (just to make sure) and yes, it was over. I didn't even see my ticket because it was in wil call and they threw them all out by then. No show, no ticket, Nothing.

I was very disappointed to say the least and I just drove home listening to Planetary Duality the whole way. It cheered me up.

Anyway, getting free tickets would totally make up for my shitty day that day and then some because of all the other bands scheduled to be there. Hook me up! thanks!

Feb. 02 – House of Blues – San Diego, CA I would really enjoy some tickets to this show because it would be so super fun. I also really like all the bands and would love to see them, especially since I've never seen Cynic or Meshuggah live and also since The Faceless is super sick!

  63. 's Avatar Seytonic_Blasphemy says:

Feb. 04 – Slim’s – San Francisco, CA, I wrote a fucking essay in my English class on how much I love Slim's; it's my second home. But the venue is not the reason why I want to attend this show; no there is a much greater meaning behind my desire. I had recently seen The Faceless last year when they toured with Decrepit Birth, Abigail Williams, and Veil of Maya and I must say their performance was one of the greatest experiences in my life. I love the Planet Duality album, it fucking rocks. That is all I really should say at this moment. Thank you for this opportunity.

I remember seeing The Faceless at Summer Slaughter 2008 last year, it was amazing how they grabbed the crowd by the balls and refused to let go, I always wished I could see them again live, and what do I know they are coming back with two greats bands! I nearly broke my ankle last time I saw The Faceless, and man was it worth it.

I do hope I get the chance to see these crazy fuckers again really really soon,

  68. 's Avatar Set Abominae says:

    Dear Metal Injection,

My name is Dr. Doomerson and I am Set Abominae's physician. Sadly to say our friend Set has been diagnosed with a rare brain diseased called Headiobangus. It is a rare condition were a person must keep their head in motion to keep the brain cells working and most importantly….. stay alive. We've been prescribing him to metal albums for awhile now to keep his head in moving, but sadly to say those only treat Headiobangus temporarily.

After hearing about the Meshuggah, Cynic and Faceless tour I knew right away that this could be Set Abominae's answer for help! I think by sending him to this show this could be a major breakthrough in Headiobangus research. I believe that Meshuggah's repetitive heavy riffs has the power to cure this man… heck! That track "Bleed" alone could probably put another decade on his life.

I am asking you MI for your love and support to help our friend Set Abominae and to help fight the good fight against Headiobangus.

    Here is his percription:

Tickets to Meshuggah, Cynic and The Faceless at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. February 17th, 2009

It's Friday the 13th, and I've been waiting since Focus to see Cynic. I was unaware of The Faceless until this show was announced, and I'm pumped. Seeing Meshuggah will be icing on the cake. Bloody ears, here I come!

  78. 's Avatar brotherkenneth says:

I'd really like to go to this show, because I've never gotten to see Meshuggah live yet, and they're probably my favorite band, plus this is the closest they will come to my town and the last stop before the head back to Sweden. I have every album but still have not gotten to see them live. I was so close to seeing them on the tour w/ Ministry but my job prevented me from going then. I can definitely go to this one and would love for METAL INJECTION to give me some free tickets! Also, The Faceless are prodigies and I'd love to see them perform live as well. I'm just getting into Cynic, really like them though. Thanks

PERFECT! The chance for winning free tickets is seriously a blessing from you guys and want to thank you for it! at the moment I am going through bad times with work and school with the whole financial situation in the country, besides that an extra ticket would mean I could take my brother who has never been to a metal show, and I would like to see the look on his face seeing these great bands make the recher theatre a brand new asshole, its already hard enough attending this show because its about a 2 hour drive from my house to the recher theatre. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Why do I want to go to this show you may ask?

Well I as you why anyone would not want to go and see three of the most hardworking, technical, and deserving bands in the metal community? As a fellow musician myself (if i could even say that in comparison to these bands) this is a dream come true that these bands are even touring, let alone together! I mean how long has it been since cynic last toured?! …and dont even get me started on meshuggah and the faceless. Tours with line-ups like these are a rarity and cannot be missed.

  85. 's Avatar jayballer14 says:

Well I really want to go to this show, but I have almost no money. And I do participate on The Faceless' street team (Sumerian Records street team) . It would be amaizing to see Cynic and Meshuggah live for the first time. I would probably punch the closest thing to me in excitement if i got those tickets!

CYNIC! Do I really need to say more than that?!
I guess I could write about how I'm coming from the Metro Detroit area to see this show. I'll also get to see my brother this weekend, who will throw a party and I'll get trashed. All in all, it will be a fucking amazing weekend. Period.

Three of the most phenomenal bands performing together is definitely something I do not want to miss. I am truly ASTONISHED and VERY PLEASED with The Faceless new album. It's excellent and it is now my morning coffee (preferably tea). I can't stop listening to it. Anything Meshuggah does is GOLDEN and I am SOOO happy that Cynic finally released a new album. They still haven't lost their touch. I grew up listening to both Cynic and Messhugah. Although, I highly doubt I am going to win this because I've never won anything in my life (mostly everything I've worked for myself) I will still be there to show support. I will be there and hopefully I will get to meet some of you in person. It will also be my BIRTHDAY weekend. My friends are coming to visit me from Florida. I basically don't have any friends in Chicago. I just recently moved here for college and my new job. So not only the band members but anyone who wants to hang out, LET ME KNOW!

    Rock on! (^_^)

There is no doubt that these 17 shows are going to be remembered forever by everyone who goes to them, and it would make my existence if I could go to this show. I dont know if I can make it if I dont win the tickets mainly because of funds, but if I were to win, it would literally be the greatest thing that could ever happen to me. My friend and I would be beyond elated.

little fyi, I've tripped out to all the latest albums (the real Cd's, fuck mp3) from these bands – while playing tetris no less haha – and they are all fucking insane. Easily some of the greatest and most influential music that I will ever hear.

Anyway, Good luck to whoever wins and I hope you enjoy the fuck out of this show as I know I would.

And after they lay i will buy each a round of bruskies . The night wouldn't end their i would support Cynic and Meshuggah the same way Metal For Life.

Thomas Haake is from some other planet because his drumming isn't comparable to any other human and the faceless is brutal as hell. I want to go to this show really bad and my friend wants to go too but he doesn't have enough money to buy tickets so if i got this it would be like a birthday present for him because his birthday is a couple days after the show.

Long live meshuggah, cynic, and the faceless

Cynic is another of my favorites, for the love of God they are legends, and this tour was made specifically for me. I dont have the money to pay for the tickets my self as I dont have a job and I have not been to a concert since September and seriously need the release, so it would be beyond amazing if i could get a hand on some tickets. I'm kinda in a rough financial situation right now so getting tickets to see three amazing bands that I haven't seen, all of whom put out an album that I listened to nonstop last year, would be amazing. Right now, I have a feeling that the only prescription that would cure this is a helluva lot of cow bell, but I'm pretty sure I could make due with god-like guitar wankery, crazy time signatures, and hundreds of drunkards doing a half assed singing job to Holy Diver when it comes on over the PA system .
