Earache Records Release The World's Shortest Album For Record Store Day

For this year's Record Store Day, Earache Records is releasing what they're billing as "The Worlds Shortest Album". The record clocks in at a whopping 83 seconds, is going to be pressed onto 5" vinyl, and packaged in a special 12" gate fold sleeve. (more…)

Former Members Of GLASSJAW, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES Form New Band

There's a new hardcore supergroup in the works called Get Involved!, which features former members of Glassjaw, Thursday, From Autumn To Ashes, Judge, and Death In The Park. Actor Compares METALLICA 3D Movie To PINK FLOYD's The Wall

The promo machine for Metallica's upcoming 20 million dollar 3D movie is about to hit full force. The movie, titled Through The Never is due out in August. The band recently revealed plot details and it won't just be a typical concert film. There are actors and a narrative.

BLACK TUSK Finished Recording New EP

Black Tusk has finished recording its new EP that will be released sometime this Spring on Relapse Records. I'm not sure of the name, but I guarantee you there will be mad riffage. Kylesa vocalist Phillip Cope returned to produce and record the new EP, which is supposed to serve as a gateway between 2011's Set The Dial and the band's next full-length album. (more…)

PYRITHION Featuring AS I LAY DYING's Tim Lambesis To Release Debut EP

Pyrithion, a new death metal project formed by As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis, will release their debut EP, The Burden Of Sorrow, via Metal Blade Records on April 16. The group also features Allegaeon founding guitarist Ryan Glisan and The Famine's former drummer Andy Godwin.  (more…)

WHITECHAPEL Working on New Album and Set to Re-Release The Somatic Defilement

Whitechapel's crushing debut album The Somatic Defilement is set to be re-released on April 18th, complete with a new mixing and mastering job courtesy of Mark Lewis (DevilDriver, The Black Dahlia Murder) and new-ish artwork that looks less like it was run through a thousand Instagram filters. It'll be great to hear these songs in clearer light, especially the recent live favorite "Prostatic Fluid Asphyxiation." (more…)
