Tour Dates
GUNS N ROSES, ALICE IN CHAINS, KORN To Headline Rocklahoma 2013
Wasn't Rocklahoma a hair metal festival at one point? I guess the times change. Today, the promoters of the Memorial Day Oklahoma hoedown announced the lineup for the 2013 iteration of the festival and there are a lot of modern bands on there like The Sword, All That Remains, Alice In Chains, Asking Alexandria, Bullet For My Valentine and the headliners Guns N Roses.
The full lineup is actually not too bad if your tastes lean on the hard rock side: (more…)

HATEBREED Announce New Tour with EVERY TIME I DIE, TERROR, JOB FOR A COWBOY
Wow, this is a killer tour. Hatebreed aren't even off the road for the first leg of their Divinity of Purpose tour and they already have second leg booked. The band announced they'll be heading out this spring with Every Time I Die, Terror, Job For A Cowboy and This Is Hell. That is an unfuckwithable lineup.
Unfortunately, this version of the trek only lasts about 10 days and is not exactly hitting primary markets. But if it's hitting your town, consider yourself lucky. Here are the dates: (more…)

The rumors have been circulating over the weekend that Ghost was about to announce a new North American tour, and those rumors are true. A few days after releasing their new album, Infestissumam on April 8th, the band will be performing at Cochella. This will be the kickoff to their US tour, going all across the U.S. and parts of Canada.
Ides of Gemini will be opening the tour. What's interesting to note is that the band will be playing much larger venues than their previous tours. Hopefully, this will result in a more intricate, and evil stage show. Here are the dates: (more…)

Go See ABSU On Tour This Spring!
Two years ago, Absu absolutely crushed my eardrums with the release of their stellar album Abzu. It made my favorite records of 2011. The band will be performing two sets, as explained by vocalist/drummer Proscriptor: (more…)

New England Metal and Hardcore Fest Adds DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Amongst Others To 2013 Lineup
When the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest announced their initial lineup a few weeks ago, it was already unfuckwithable. Anthrax (playing Among The Living), Opeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Shadows Fall…and others were already enough to get me excited.
Today, they announced the addition of a few new bands, including The Dillinger Escape Plan. (more…)

DEATH TO ALL Tour Returning In 2013 (In Europe)
Seeing the Death To All tribute show last year at the New York City stop was one of the best concerts of the year, if not the last decade (check out some sweet photos here). The show ultimately only made it to a few destinations. Unfortunately, the final two dates of the tour ended up being cancelled and the resulting online drama made it seem like the tour had runs it's course.
But, according to a posting this morning, Death To All is forged to make a comeback. (more…)

PARKWAY DRIVE Announce North American Tour with THE WORD ALIVE, VEIL OF MAYA
If there is one thing I've learned recently, it's that people really enjoy Parkway Drive. The band is certainly listenable, but I never realized how big their fan base was until recently. If you happen to be in said fan base, you should be pumped to hear that the band just announced a spring tour promoting their recent release, Atlas. The band will be joined by The Word Alive and Veil of Maya. Here are dates and a teaser video: (more…)

PERIPHERY Announced As Direct Support For DEFTONES On Upcoming North American Tour
This is a ridiculous package. A few weeks ago, the Deftones announced another run across North America, but did not announce any openers. Today, it's been confirmed that the mighty djentlemen in Periphery will be filling that slot. While it may seem odd at first, the combo totally fits in this humble blogger's opinion. I'm curious to see the reaction Periphery will get from the Deftones faithful. One thing is for sure, they will be playing to hundreds (if not thousands) of new sets of ears every night, exposing their brand of metal, and for that we congratulate them. Here is the routing: (more…)
