Our photographer Rodrigo Fredes is back with two new show updates in the Photo Gallery. First up, he attended power metal bliss with Blind Guardian and openers Grave Digger. That gallery can be seen here.

Metallica played the very intimate Webster Hall in New York City last night in celebration of their upcoming album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct. Metal Injection was there and besides capturing video footage of the band performing their new single "Moth Into Flame" live for the first time, we also captured some siqq photos. Photographer Rodrigo Fredes was able to capture over 30 photos. Take a look at the gallery here.

Metal Injection brought Meshuggah drummer Tomas Haake to Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY for an exclusive listening party of the band's new album, The Violent Sleep Of Reason, two months before release. The album sounds incredible and any Meshuggah fan will appreciate it. Tomas was very friendly and social and posed for pictures with fans. Check out the entire gallery here.

Photographer Rodrigo Fredes was out at the New York City Summer Slaughter gig and came back with some killer shots. There were two big shows last week, and photographer Rodrigo Fredes was there to capture them both. It would be a bit harder to believe that Opeth have been kicking around the metal scene for a full 25 years now if they hadn't taken us on such a farflung journey during that quarter century, but this coffee table victory lap actually represents a long overdue career summation, showing the same care and craftsmanship in a biblio-visual sense that the band have become known for with their musical work.
