Ryan Adams Performs A Stunning Acoustic Cover of DANZIG's "Mother"
Ryan Adams may not be in a metal band, he's in fact an acoustic guitar wielder, but he is clearly a metalhead. He loves his Iron Maiden, as evidenced by this incredible cover of "Wasted Years" and as the video after the jump shows, he loves his Danzig too, as he pulled out an acoustic cover of "Mother" at a recent show. One person in the crowd can be heard going "wow," he was impressed and so was I. Check this out: (more…)

NEW GAZA SONG!! NEW GAZA SONG!! NEW GAZA SONG!!
Finally! Gaza (pronounced GAH-Zah, not guh-ZAH) has officially announced they are set to release their new album No Absolutes in Human Suffering this summer. July 31st to be exact, via Black Market Activities. The band has just posted a track on Brooklyn Vegan called "Mostly Hair and Bones Now." If you were having that 3:00 feeling at work, where you feel like you need a quick pick me up, this will get you going, for sure. If you just need more Gaza, perhaps the copious amount of live videos we have will keep you occupied. The band will be hitting the road next month with COC and Torche.

3 INCHES OF BLOOD Pay Tribute To DIO
Yesterday, May 16th, was the two year anniversary of Ronnie James Dio's passing, and the metal world has never been the same since. The man gave us the devil horns, he gave us great tunes and most of all, by all accounts he was an awesome dude (and by Dave Mustaine's account, a pothead.) Anyway, 3 Inches of Blood released a lyric video for their track "Look Out" and it was written as a tribute to Dio. We miss you Ronnie. If this isn't enough Dio for you, check out our report from the Dio memorial two years ago.

Your First Official Taste Of New Music From BARONESS
I was incredibly excited when the press advance of Baroness's new double album, Yellow & Green arrived in my inbox last week. The problem? I haven't been able to get through the whole thing in one sitting. Clocking in at 85 minutes, that's a lot of time to commit to an album. I've listened to the first half, Yellow multiple times, but only made it through a few tracks on Green before having to move on to do something else. I will say this though: what I've heard, I like a lot. Baroness is no longer a metal band, they are a rock band and they write really catchy, solid rock songs. Today, Relapse posted the first single from the double-album, the second track on the album, and one of my favorites, "Take My Bones Away." Let's take a listen… (more…)

MASTODON Teaches You About Mastodons
We interupt our regularly scheduled programming for this important announcement. Mastodon frontman Troy Sanders helped Fuse out recently, giving you, the viewer, some interesting facts about the animal from which they take their name, the extinct mastodon. I learned a lot from this video, like mastodons being constantly confused for woolly mammoths. What did you learn?

It's The KORN Reunion Nobody's Been Waiting For
Brian "Head" Welch left Korn seven years ago, due to the life on the road having a negative affect on his personal life, and causing him to turn to drugs. In that time, he found God, started a new band and basically became completely forgettable. Meanwhile, Korn have managed to stay very much in the public eye, most recently releasing a dubstep infused album that sold pretty well. In the interim, Welch and bassist Fieldy started talking again, and with everybody else in the band cleaning up, it was just a matter of time before Head rejoined his bandmates. That day was this past Saturday, May 5th.Welch joined his band members onstage for a rendition of their song "Blind" and it looks like he didn't miss a beat. Could this be the start of a beautiful reunion? I doubt it. Welch has his own thing going with his band. At best, I can see Korn inviting his new band, Love And Death on tour so they can do an encore together. Does this news excite you? [via Metal Insider]

SOUNDGARDEN's New Music Video Should Come With A Massive Spoiler Alert For The Avengers Movie
Congratualtions to Soundgarden for finally cashing in and being the lead single on a mega summer blockbuster superhero flick. Their new video for the track "Live to Rise," their first new song in forever, serves as a giant advertisement for the Avengers movie which comes out this weekend (well, tonight at midnight for the superdorks). I'm looking forward to the movie and I have done a pretty good job at avoiding trailers and overall spoilers, but then I started watching this video. I had to turn it off because I already felt it was revealing too much. If you don't care, watch above!

New NACHTMYSTIUM Track, "As Made" is Catchy As Fuck!
Nactmystium have posted their new track, "As Made" over at Invisible Oranges for streaming and it totally rules! I'm loving the industrial influence in the once strictly black metal band. With every new release, frontman Blake Judd and company make it harder to pigeon hole the band's sound.
The track will be a part of a limited edition 7", with only 500 copies being pressed, and will also feature a cover of the Joy Division song “The Eternal”, with vocals by Chris Connelly (Revolting Cocks, Ministry). You can pre-order it for six bucks at Century Media's e-store. It is officially released May 15.
All you Nacht fans, get excited because we will be posting some killer live footage of the band in the coming days.
