Fox News' Red Eye program has featured metal acts in the past, most famously, Oderus Urungus of GWAR. This week though, the show featured Torche, who got one of the grandest of welcomes, in the form of a video piece (above) with voiceover by self-proclaimed “doom metal expert” and former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee. What really bothers me about this video is how Huckabee parodies the Fox News style saying if you don't like Torche, you are a racist or a homophone. HA HA! Get it? Cause that's what Fox News does. They resort to name calling. Kill yourself, Fox News!
Anyway, good for Torche for getting some press on TV, which is hard to come by nowadays. The host of the show also interviewed the band, and was practically asking frontman Steve Brooks out on a date. Here is the full interview:
