Phil Anselmo Burns One With High Times

Phil Anselmo recently sat down with High Times senior editor Bobby Black to do two things: light one up, and have a discussion. The four-part interview that resulted is a captivating must-watch for any fans of Anselmo. Phil opens up about the first time he smoked weed (at age six), how he cleaned up from doing harder stuff, his thoughts on Rex Brown's alcoholism and of course, the topic of Pantera comes up. Phil talks about talking to the guy who shot Dime's murder in the head, and the resulting anecdote gave me chills. Part one is above, and watch the rest of the interview on the High Times website.

    Does Vinnie still smoke? I think Vin needs to sit down with a fatty and listen to Hellyeah…but I guess he does smoke and vagina just makes him delusional.

    Phil Anselmo is my hero, and one of my biggest influences. Post-drugs, of course.

    I guess he started smoking again? I thought he was completely sober. Then again this was back in 2007.
