I went to a birthday party this past Saturday, and it was fun… there was a lot of good food, drinks and friends. But it definitely wasn't as fun as the birthday party Dave Grohl threw for himself that same day at Los Angeles' famed Forum.

Grohl invited some friends and some fans to party along with him and this wasn't just a typical party. When you are the coolest motherfucker in rock, your guest list can really get pretty crazy. Grohl has been on a collaboration-kick as of late, with his just completed series Sonic Highways being a prime example. But I guess there were just some people who he wasn't able to collaborate with, so he made sure to invite them to the forum.

Take a look at this insane setlist:

HOLY SHIT, that is a dream lineup. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to get members of Aerosmith, David Lee Roth and Paul Stanley in the same room together, let alone for a jam of this magnitude.

Seeing as though there were some 20,000 fans in attendance, naturally bootleg footage has begun leaking out. Here's what we've been able to find so far:

Foo Fighters doing "School's Out" with Alice Cooper:

Foos doing Van Halen with David Lee Roth:

Foo Fighters doing KISS' "Do You Love Me?" with Paul Stanley:

(I much prefer the drunken Nirvana version)

Foos performering Janes' Addiction's "The Mountain Song" with Perry Farrell:

Foo Fighters cover Black Sabbath with Zakk Wylde:

Foos invite Zakk Wylde, Slash and Lemmy to cover Chuck Berry:

Foos with Slash and Tenacious D cover Led Zeppelin:

God damn, I wish I was there for this.
