NICKELBLOCK: Never See Nickelback on the Internet Again

81957-10.tif

There has been a lot of Nickelback hate on the internet lately. There was a petition to ban them from playing a hockey game, another to ban them from playing at a football game, and now the coup de grace…a Chrome/Firefox plugin that blocks any mentions of Nickelback on the internet. The official page for the plugin states "once installed, NICKELBLOCK will eliminate all mention of Alberta’s finest swamp heshers from your web browser." Download it here. In related news, Nickelback released this video in response to all the hatred lately.

See, they don't care. They're still millionaires!

  1. While they are a bad excuse for rock music, there's a lot of other music I would wish to eradicate from my internet before them. And that says something about that other music.

  2. NickelBack is indeed a joke…but not funnier than Green Day or Linkin Park

How about Metal Injection join the club, and stop putting Corey fucking Taylor all over their website like he pays them to do it. Oh wait, he prolly does in some way down the line. Love the site, but cmon. You rag all these bands and what have you, but you still continue to feed the fire. And in the end, yes, fuck Nickleback. Glad to see people are actually getting them off these big name events.

  5. As much as this is funny, and the Detroit backlash is pretty justified, I never like musical bullying circles like Nickelback/Design The Skyline/Justin Bieber. The idea that ADTR fans should have a bandwagon to feel like possessors of cutting edge taste, or Green Day fans should ever, ever feel entitled to rip on anyone else's music, is pretty sickening.

Silver Side Up is a fantastic album and anyone that refuses to recognized that is either a very stubborn person or a retard. Unless you don't like rock, then it would be fine. The rest of their albums are pretty bad, still not worthy of this whole Nickelback whining we see everywhere in the internet, buncha babies.
