TOOL's Opiate Re-Issue Will Contain 5 Wonka-Style Golden Tickets! But, For What?

Alright, I wasn't really on-board with Tool reissuing their Opiate EP when I first read about it. All it was at first was just some extra art… but now the game has changed.

In a press release, the band says-

Five lucky fans will get something extra in their copies of TOOL’s forthcoming commemorative edition of the Opiate EP (available Mar. 26 via Toolband.com).

Dubbed the “Seal of Xatanitos," the five certificates will be placed randomly amidst the 5,000 copies of the collectible reissue.  The prize will only be disclosed to each of the five winners.

Alright wait. Is this some Willy Wonka- type shit going on here? Because I almost want in on this reissue now. Worst comes to worst and you're one of the 4,995 losers in this whole thing, you'll still get-

The 21st anniversary edition is limited to 5,000 copies and features art direction by Jones, illustrations by legendary artist Adi Granov and design packaging by Mackie Osborne, who has collaborated with TOOL on many albums including 10,000 Days, Lateralus and Salival as well as posters and merchandise.

The 5,000 copies will be broken down into five variations (each 1,000 pieces) with each set featuring a slight alteration of the exterior graphics and included bonus items which include a new stereoscopic image for fans to use with their glasses from the 10,000 Days packaging.

Especially if you're a collector of physical copies, this would be extra cool to have, even if you're not a winner of the seal. I really, really want to know what that seal is. Maybe a pass ot hear new stuff before it's out? Some kind of "ticket for life" to their shows? A recipe for kickass food? The possibilities are endless.
