SLAYER stream new song, "Hate Worldwide"

Just in case your eardrums had started healing after "Psychopathy Red" leaked eight months ago, SLAAAAYER are streaming a second song from their long-awaited (still no official release date) next foray into full-length albums, World Painted Blood. Show Lil' Jon what it's really all about by streaming "Hate Worldwide" in its entirety right here. If you already had coffee this morning, you didn't need it.

Evolved Into Obliteration: FLAGITIOUS IDIOSYNCRASY IN THE DILAPIDATION

Y'all should know the score by now. I'm Grim Kim, I probably hate your favorite band, and I'm going to spend the next couple paragraphs telling you exactly why you NEED to be listening to whatever band I've decided to write about this time. Got it? Good. I just got back from Obscene Extreme Fest in the Czech Republic, and my need for speed is still in hyperdrive. No time for sludge this week. Less talk, more grind!
Meet Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation, an originally all-girl (they've recently added a male guitarist) grindcore quartet based outta Tokyo, Japan. These chicks make Angela Gossow look like your sweet Auntie Mabel, and shit all over the idea that "girls can't play metal." (more…)

Win A Pair of Tickets to Friday's Blackened Music Series feat. REPULSION, PIG DESTROYER & BRUTAL TRUTH

Oh fuck yes! One of the biggest shows of the summer (in NY at least) is happening this Friday night with the epic beginning of the Blackened Music Series which will feature REPULSION playing their Decibel Hall of Fame record Horrified in its entirety, plus PIG motherfucking DESTORYER and BRUTAL TRUTH. We really don't need to try to sell you on this, because the show fuckin' sells itself. One thing is for certain, we are definitely heading down there and we are bringing a shit load of cameras with us to tape every nugget of the Brooklyn Masonic Temple.
But, we don't want to go alone! The promoters of the Blackened Music Series were gracious enough to let us give away one pair of tickets to the show so that one of you junkies (and a friend) can have your minds completely blown.
How do you enter you ask? Just leave a comment with your full name AND the name of the bassist of Brutal Truth. We will randomly pick one name on Tuesday Night and announce the winner on Wednesday. UPDATE: TheLSDRaptor wins the tickets! Thanks for playing. Of course if you don't want to test your luck against other junkies, tickets are still available for purchase.

METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #30 – The Anti-Gathering

This is a very vaped edition of the METAL INJECTION LIVECAST as Rob, Noa and Anthony partake in vaporizing throughout the show. Mid-way through the show, Jose Mangin from Sirius radio calls in and explains what it really is that gets us high. Also, we dedicate perhaps too much time to talking about the Gathering, Lil Jon sampling Slayer, Sid gives us a live report from the studio bathroom, we learned about teabagging, atomic sit ups, Coldplay/Satch similarities, and more! Plus, at the end of the show, a special surprise kareoke rendition of David Lee Roth's Loco De Color performed by Anthony.
VENOM – Black Metal
MONTY LOVE – Draw It Up
BLACK FLAG – Jealous Again
CONVERGE – Annihilate This Week
DROWNINGMAN – Radio Tuned To The Sounds Of Hearts Breaking
Also a brief mention of PERIPHERY

There is a behind the scenes to that Ja Rule/Metallica song?
Man, just when I thought it was over, they went and did it again! Fans of the Livecast know that we love the absolutely terrible collaboration between Ja Rule and Metallica called "We Did It Again" (embedded below for the uninitiated) A few weeks ago, when Axl Rosenberg was on the show he heard it for the first time, and it's been haunting him ever since. Being the investigative blogger that he is, he found the above video of the making of(!) this song. And let me tell you, if you think the track sounds absurd, it's got nothing on this clip. The absurd hilarity of just how into it all the parties are. All except for James Hetfield, who is completely absent from the clip because he was probably in rehab at this point and would be the only one who would disapprove of this. Thanks Axl, you made my day!

New tracks from DOOMRIDERS and BURNT BY THE SUN posted (that you should probably listen to)

Two upcoming releases that I am very excited about are DOOMRIDERS Darkness Comes Alive and BURNT BY THE SUN's upcoming final release Heart of Darkness and so should you. If you don't believe me, you should check out these free streams that were just posted:
First up, DOOMRIDERS put up an e-card (over here) featuring two songs: "Darkness Comes Alive" and "Bear Witness". These are two songs we captured live when the band played Brooklyn a few months ago and they sound pretty killer as studio tracks. These guys are just so fucking great, I can't wait to hear the whole thing. Darkness Comes Alive is in stores September 29th.
Secondly, the final release from BURNT BY THE SUN is soon approaching and the band has posted new music on their MySpace Page. I got to preview the new record, Heart of Darkness via a press web-streaming and this CD makes me wish it wasn't this band's final recording. The CD comes out August 18th.
DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN recap their European Excellent Adventure

THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN are not only one of my favorite bands musically but they are also some funny mother fuckers, as evidenced by our now-legendary interview with Greg from a few years back. The band just got back from their European mini-tour to get them all psyched up to finishing writing and recording their next CD, Operation: Paralysis and both Greg and Liam (bassist) posted updates that lead to some epic lulz. Check em out… (more…)

BORN OF OSIRIS, ALL SHALL PERISH announce co-headlining tour with AFTER THE BURIAL, CALIBAN, SUFFOKATE
Woah woah woah! Talk about monster tour. Three of my favorite bands in this new wave of metal bands, BORN OF OSIRIS, ALL SHALL PERISH and AFTER THE BURIAL are touring on one bill along with CALIBAN and SUFFOKATE (really guys? this is what you name your band? Have you heard of the biggest death metal band ever? Suffocation? Don't you think this may cause confusion??) This is definitely a great package of deathmetalcore or whatever the kids are calling it these days. In related news, BORN OF OSIRIS fill-in guitarist Tosin Abasi makes interesting fashion choices. Full itinerary after the jump… (more…)

The Gathering of The Juggalos – So Absurd I Almost Want To Attend
No words can describe how unbelievable/awful/amazing the above infomercial is. Sugar Slam, call me! For more on this "Gathering" check out Vice's amazing exposé. This event, as Violent J puts it has "the feeling of family love… sort of what I imagine the feeling is like for Muslims when the visit Mecca"

DETHKLOK coming to X-Box Arcade.
Oh snap, our bro-hos at MetalSucks got some news on a Dethklok game coming to X-Box Arcade, titled (what else?) Metalocalypse: Dethgame. Overseen by Brendon Small. As Axl (Hi Axl!) described it, the game will allow you to "play as a Klokateer, one of Dethklok’s roadies, and [you] will be charged with the task of protecting the band and their own mega-mansion, Mordhaus, from 'rabid mutant fans.' There will also be mini-games." Sounds like a fun concept. How awesome would it be if Dr. Rockso was some sort of boss-type mutant?
The above image is not a screencrap from the game, but it would be really cool if this was a throwback to '90s arcade games with simple cheesy plots like the Simpsons game and the Teenange Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade games. Dethgame is still in development with scheduled to be released in the game which just so happens to be when the band's upcoming new CD comes out.
