MYRKUR's New Album Deals With People Hating Her Music, Nightmares

Cue the "NOT REAL BLACK METAL" cries.

Myrkur's new album Mareridt, which is Danish for Nightmare, will be out on September 15 via Relapse Records, and has been touted as a much more eclectic and stylistically diverse album than her previous efforts. In Myrkur's explanation video and teaser for the album, she says Mareridt deals with controversy surrounding her music, nightmares she's had, and people's distaste for her brand of black metal.

Hellish, right? The album was produced by Randall Dunn (Sunn O))), Wolves In The Throne Room) and is currently not available for pre-order.
