Ex-NEVERMORE Members Join SANCTUARY Live On Stage

R.I.P. Warrel Dane.

Sanctuary was active from 1985 to 1992, at which point vocalist Warrel Dane, bassist Jim Sheppard, and touring guitarist Jeff Loomis all teamed up to form the legendary Nevermore. Sanctuary reactivated in 2010 and existed right up to Dane's sudden passing in 2017. Sanctuary is currently on its farewell tour with Witherfall vocalist Joseph Michael standing in for Dane, and the band just recently played a hometown show at the El Corazon in Seattle, WA.

Fans at the show were treated to both Loomis and Sheppard getting up on stage with the band, though as MetalSucks points out, not at the same time. Sheppard played "Future Tense" with the band, while Loomis played "Taste Revenge." So there it is – unfortunately probably the closest we'll ever get to either a late 90s Sanctuary reunion or a Nevermore reunion. Still though, the band played great.
