LAMB OF GOD Guitarist Says Band Will Hit The Studio "Very Soon"

Apparently as Lamb Of God this time, for reals.

Lamb Of God resurrected their Burn The Priest moniker earlier this year to release a covers album called Legion: XX. The band embarked on a leg of Slayer's farewell tour, and now that they're home are planning on hitting up the studio for a brand new Lamb Of God album. According to guitarist Mark Morton, anyway.

This will be Lamb Of God's first album since 2015's VII: Sturm und Drang. Though if they're just hitting the studio soon, then I wouldn't expect a new record until at least 2019.

Earlier this weekend, Chris Adler revealed he was not able to join the band on their summer tour with Slayer because of a bad motorcycle accident. Perhaps, that has allowed Adler time to clear his mind and write some ideas for new music. It certainly seems as though Morton has ideas ready.

Lamb of God don't have too much time at home. They are heading back out with Slayer in Europe and the UK, and that tour kicks off in November. Anthrax and Obituary are also on the bill. Here are the dates:
