Last we heard, Behemoth is about 10 songs deep into a new album and is shooting to have it out maybe sometime around fall 2018. Now in an interview with Rock Hard Magazine, frontman Nergal says the band is currently in the "super early stages of pre-production," and that Behemoth has some big news for everyone pretty soon.
We're writing new stuff with Behemoth. We've got fucking… I don't know… I don't wanna say too much. All I've gotta say is we're super creative. And it's super early stages of pre-production or even thinking about the next record, but we are pretty much safe now with all that stuff. We're just making plans out for the next year, and I can tell you there's gonna be some big news coming out. So, yes, I can't wait.
The new album is exciting enough, but what's the big news? Maybe another tour right after the one its on with Lamb of God and Slayer? Or a handful of special shows to get prepared to hit the studio? Who knows, but we're certainly curious.
