This is really exciting. The title track off Cynic's upcoming Carbon Based Anatomy EP is now available for free download (below), and it is by far my favorite track off the new album. The one when I realized, damn it's good to have new Cynic in my life! The full EP hits stores on November 11th.
Meanwhile, the band announced touring members for their upcoming run of dates. Of course the band split with bassist Robin Zielhorst and guitarist Tymon Kruidenier due to geographical issues, and had decided to record the new album by themselves. This obviously won't work on the road. Handling bass duties will be founding/former bassist of The Faceless, Brandon Giffin, who is more than capable in that role. Filling in on guitar will be virtual unknown, Max Phelps of DC band Exist (not super SEO). MetalSucks unearthed the following clip of Phelps laying it down, so I am sure he is more than suitable for the role.
