Fan Claims DANZIG & Security Guards Attacked Him For Taking A Photo

Update: Shortly after this story was published, we received an eyewitness account of the entire event. Read the ugly details of the altercation here. Original story as follows:

Glenn Danzig has a history of not being a fan of photographers. The former Misfits frontman has a strict no photo policy and has a history of being not so kind to people who break the rule. In 2012, he ran off stage and tried to attack a photog and earlier in the year, footage was captured of Danzig throwing a photographer in a headlock.

Today, Irish photographer Neil Dalton posted an account from last night's show in Montreal. Dalton posted the following claim on his Facebook page:

So I went to Danzig last night. Including the 100 dollars I spent on his merch plus the tickets time of work and traveling to Montreal to see him this is the price you pay for taking a photo of Danzig. He called me up on stage got got his pussy security guards to rough me up and held me back me back so he could hit me himself. Cops can't do fuck all because we're both not Canadian and they did it off camera and said I fell .could all my friends please share this because I want the world to know what a pussy the guy is. Superjoint [Ritual] fucking ruled [though].

Other than the above photo, Dalton posted no further proof of the attack. I can't find any evidence of people discussing a fan coming up on stage via Twitter and Instagram shows plenty of photos from the evening.

Update: We have recieved an eyewitness account which corroborates that Danzig did in fact attack the photographer, but also that Dalton was warned multiple times to leave beforehand. Read the entire account here.

Update 2: Since initially publishing this story, the alleged victim has released a new statement clarifying some inconsistencies.

Danzig is currently out with Superjoint Ritual, the remaining dates can be found here.
