This is upsetting! When Beavis and Butthead came back in 2011, we as metalheads collectively rejoiced in glee. There wasn't much metal on the series once it came back, but it was just create to see our favorite metalheads back on TV. Now it looks like the show won't be back for another season, and this time it's not because of creator Mike Judge.
Judge was doing press for his new HBO series, Silicon Valley, a comedy about a tech-startup and the topic of Beavis and Butthead came up and it doesn't look good:
“That kind of caught up in some kind of changeover of the top brass of MTV,” explained Judge. “I’m kind of trying to sell it to another network, and I haven’t [yet]. “I’m just happy doing this one right now.”
“You never know,” he said. “I mean, that’s one of those things that could come back.I still like ‘em.”
Damn it, MTV. You take away music videos and now you won't even bring back Beavis and Butthead? You guys suck! Comiserate with me while I watch the top 22 Beavis & Butthead metal music video reviews.
