Former AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Thinks He Won't Go To Prison, Hopes To Rejoin The Band

Phil Rudd is really really sorry, promise he won't do it again.

Phil Rudd is really really sorry, promise he won't do it again.

You might remember a few weeks back AC/DC’s Phil Rudd plead guilty to the charges of drug possession and trying to kill his assistant. Now as Rudd’s sentencing grows closer, A Current Affair caught up with him to discuss his thoughts on the future in a really interesting piece.

When asked about how he thinks his sentencing will go he said he’s hoping for “discharge without conviction”, and that “it was a mistake, we all make mistakes”.

In the piece he also says he wishes he was on tour with AC/DC, and that it’s up to Angus Young whether or not he returns.

That all sounds insanely optimistic to us, but then again Rudd hasn't exactly shown any signs of being sane the last several years. You can check out the teaser to the exclusive below, or see the whole report here.
