THE FACELESS Part Ways With Guitarist, Announce Replacement

Well, this is a bummer. Over the weekend, founding guitarist Michael Keene announced that Steve Jones, the other guitarist in the band, has officially left The Faceless, tweeting: "Farewell Steve Jones. We had a long ride my brother. Welcome the amazing @WesHauch to The Faceless. He is a shredder." But do not fear, because as this video shows, Wes Haunch is quite the capable guitarist:

Further tweeting and responses show that Jones left because "he's moved in a different direction than us and we wish him good luck in his ventures." and later, Keene tweeted "we're hoping to include a song he wrote on the record, yes."

This announcement means that Keene is the only original member in the band. He and drummer Lyle Cooper as the only remaining members who played on their last album. The band have added bassist Evan Brewer and vocalist
Geoffrey Ficco since their 2008 release, Planetary Duality.

Keene has been tweeting that he hopes to complete the recording of the record before the band heads out on the Metal Alliance Tour. Keene also mentioned he will be working on the record on the bus, while touring. The band recently released a studio video to update fans on the progress of the record.
