REVOCATION Frontman Says New Material Is "A Bit Less Thrashy" And More Epic

So… new Revocation album?

So... new Revocation album?

Revocation just released their self-titled last year… and apparently have another one on the way? That's what guitarist and vocalist Dave Davidson had to say in an interview by Metal Wani. Davidson spilled the beans a little bit about the new music, though there's no indication the band have or have not been in the studio for the new stuff.

"The next album will definitely still be heavy but will be a bit less thrashy than our previous releases. We are constantly refining our sound and I think with every release we get better as songwriters and players. Some of the brand new tunes have some really epic parts and we can’t wait for our fans to check out what we’re working on but it will be a while until it gets released."

It'll be interesting to see the band make the transition from thrash to "epic" songs, as Davidson describes them. So far the band has done no wrong so I'm led to believe this will be more of the same in that regard.

The band is gearing up to hit the road with Whitechapel, Devildriver, Carnifex, Rivers of Nihil and Fit For an Autopsy. Dates here.
