THE GHOST INSIDE Members In Critical Condition After Fatal Bus Crash

Update: In a new statement, bassist Jim Riley has confirmed all members of the band are in stable condition. Original story as follows:

More information has come to light from yesterday's incredibly unfortunate accident. To recap, a bus carrying The Ghost Inside crashed into an 18-wheeler truck killing both drivers. Initial reports said all the members of the band were okay, but turns out that was a bit too optimistic.

Last night, the brother of The Ghost Inside drummer Andrew Tkaczyk, Nick, posted the following:

"For those not in the know, my brother Andrew was airlifted to the hospital this morning after his bus was involved in an accident. He is alive, however he has suffered head trauma, as well as broken bones in his lower extremities, and a shoulder injury. He is currently in ICU and may require surgery.

"Please give us all your prayers, thoughts, whatever it is that you do, as we need it.

"I ask out of respect to contact me instead of my other family members with any questions or inquiries, as I will handle it due to my parents being extremely distraught right now. Thank you."

The band released a statement late in the day confirming the accident:

"Thanks to everyone who reached out with concern today. The Ghost Inside was involved in a serious bus accident outside El Paso, TX this morning. All 5 band members + all members of the crew are alive and currently being treated for their injuries. Please keep them in your thoughts as well as their bus driver and those in the other vehicle who did not make it. Unfortunately, all US shows on the Locals Only Tour are cancelled. Refunds available at point of purchase. We will update you more when we can."

A new report by KFOX14 suggests three members of the band are in critical condition:

The Ghost Inside band members, Andrew Tkaczykt, 28, Jonathan Vigil and Zach Johnson, 28, received serious injuries and were transported to University Medical Center via helicopter. They are said to be in critical condition, officials said.

Nathan Wilden, 31, of Topeka,; Armando Cardona, 32, of Phoenix,; Charles Anthony Billings, 27, of Maryland,; Danny Lupio, 29, of Garden Grove, Calif.,; Timothy Irons, 27, of California,; Christopher Davis, 25, of Maryland,; and James Riley, 34, of Nevada, were traveling with the band. Their injuries are said to be serious, officials said.

Lupio and Billings are said to be in critical condition, while the other victims are in stable condition, officials said.

This is an absolutely awful situation and we hope everybody gets out fine. A GoFundMe has been set up for the band's medical expenses if you are feeling generous.
