A friend once told me that Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister blew his entire savings up his nose and down his throat (with speed and whiskey, that is), and if this new report is to be believe, that friend of mine was right.
UK tabloid Mirror is reporting that while it was originally believed that when Lemmy passed, his estate would be worth £6.75 million (around $8.28 million), it now seems to be much less. After auditors have checked the books, Lemmy estate's worth is closer to £528,806 (approximately $650,000) and everybody is wondering where the "missing" £6.75million went.
Mirror reports that the beneficiary to Lemmy's estate is believed to be his son, Paul Inder, although it's believed Lemmy adopted a second child.
The Motorhead frontman lived a very simple life, renting an apartment for over 20 years in Hollywood, that was just steps away from his favorite watering hole, the Rainbow. In his documentary, Lemmy, the Motorhead frontman joked that he made more money off writing the Ozzy Osbourne single, "Mama, I'm Coming Home" than from Motorhead's catalogue up until that point.
