DEAD CROSS (Ex-SLAYER, THE LOCUST, Etc.) Loses Singer, Mystery Frontman Steps In

One down in the world of Dead Cross.

One down in the world of Dead Cross.

Despite not even having its debut album out yet, Dead Cross is undergoing lineup changes. The band originally consisted of ex-Slayer Dave Lombardo on drums, Retox guitarist Mike Crain and The Locust vocalist Gabe Serbian and bassist Justin Pearson, though Serbia has now stepped down. The band tells Tombs' Mike Hill in his Everything Went Black podcast that a new frontman has stepped in and is re-recording the vocals for the album now that Serbian quit.

So who's the new guy? Well…

“I’m not allowed to say yet. I want to say, I’ve told people but they’re like… He’s kind of an ‘established singer’ and they need an official announcement or something… Let’s just say it’s like a good friend of all of ours so it will be rad once it happens. He’s already recording and we have a label and stuff like that now.”

Great. So it's a friend of the dudes from The Locust, Retox, and Dave Lombardo. That could be anyone!
