Earlier this month, there was a lot of "controversy" when Whitechapel revealed there would be some clean singing on their upcoming album, Mark of the Blade. Some fans were outraged before even hearing anything, leading to guitarist Zach Householder declaring there would be no cleans – only to have frontman Phil Bozeman say a few hours later that only two songs have cleans.
While we're not sure if the band is trolling or not, what we do know is the band just released the title track off Mark of the Blade and it's pure Whitechapel heaviness. Take a listen:
