Prog Metal Masterminds EXIST Unleash Epic Hybrid Wizardry On "Fault's Peaks"

Some of you may not know Exist,  but its members have been actively involved in many of today's best bands for a long time now, driving many sick groups forwards in a behind-the-scenes way. The musical pedigree among the musicians in Exist is a portent of amazing things to come, and the music of Exist never fits comfortably in one genre or style, it simply exists as its own unique entity. Bad pun intended.

I've been a huge fan of the band since 2013 when their debut album Sunlight dropped, so I'm very excited to share a new song from them now ahead of the early June release of their second album, So True, So Bound. Today we're proud to premiere a brand new song and video for "Fault's Peaks", and you'd be hard-pressed to come away from hearing it with any conclusion other than the obvious ones: that it's brilliantly eclectic, clearly an inspired work of art, and also the kind of music made my musicians with the singular goal in mind of creating a musical universe of their own with each release.

Throughout the dense yet sublime depths of "Fault's Peaks" over eight-minute voyage, Exist effortlessly shift between varied forms of prog metal and prog-death with a groove component, and every bit of it seems expertly filtered through a Cynic and Allan Holdsworth style jazz fusion technical prog sensibility. The band's hybrid sound is on full display throughout "Fault's Peaks", striking a perfect balance between beautiful ethereal passages, sublime grooves, and deathly aggression stirred together into a unique mixture of sounds. If you dig what you're hearing, So True, So Bound, drops June 9th through Prosthetic Records and can be pre-ordered through multiple outlets here. Be sure to follow Exist on their Facebook Page as well.
