When you think distortion pedal, you generally think guitar and bass. Mogwai clearly had that idea as well, but then decided to run every other thing in its new song "Eternal Panther" through some distortion variants as well. The result is works really, really well, and fits right in with the recent wave of noisy retro rock bands coming out… though Mogwai has been making noise for far longer than that.
