Ivan Moody Just Quit FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH On Stage (Again) In The Netherlands

But is he really gone this time?

But is he really gone this time?

Ivan Moody has just quit Five Finger Death Punch again! If this sounds familiar, you might recall Moody quit the band while performing onstage in April, and was in no condition to perform that night. The following day, Moody released a message saying he had "a mental breakdown" and didn't actually quit the band. He ended up leaving the tour and checking into rehab while other musicians filled in on vocals.

Moody returned to the stage one month later, and there was no drama until tonight's (July 12) show at 013 in Tilburg. At some point in the gig, Moody announced that it's his last show with the band. Here's video:

According to the local news, Moody showed up to the show late, there was a big fight backstage, and the band "played out of time, disappeared after every song minutes from the stage and seemed to quarrel among themselves."

The original video poster on Youtube, Ruben, noted his displeasure in the comments: [edited for clarity]

If this was a publicity stunt then I'm done with this band. The whole show had a weird vibe. Ivan didn't show up the first two songs, so someone else performed his parts. After each song, the lights go out and they were gone for one or two minutes. During one of the songs, Jason threw his guitar on the ground and walked of the stage. I can't believe I wasted money on this childish shitshow.

Five Finger Death Punch has a packed schedule the rest of the year, headlining major festivals like Houston Open Air, Monster Energy Rock Allegiance, and a few more festivals this summer, who knows what's going to happen?

Alternatively, is this just another mental breakdown that he'll manage to get through? Maybe due to the stress of the ongoing lawsuit with their current, soon to be former, record label? Who knows.

The band's next scheduled gig is in Austria in two days. It will be interesting to see how the band spin the news this time.
