Dream Theater promised to deliver a new track today and they came through on their promise. We now have our first taste of the new Dream Theater album.
The band premiered their new track "The Enemy Inside" on USA Today of all places. Are soccer moms really Dream Theater's demographic? I digress! Here is the track:
My compadre Frank attended a listening party for the new album, and after hearing it all the way through (with the band watching him and other media listen to it) he said it was the best DT album since 2003's Train Of Thought. I have to admit, as somebody who is not at all an avid DT fan, this is a very tolerable listen. Usually, I am turned off by James LaBrie's vocals, but it's a solid track for sure.
