Three weeks ago Tool guitarist Adam Jones posted a picture on Instagram saying he was recording a "would be" jam with engineer Joe Barresi, though no further information was given on whether or not it was just Jones or Tool as a whole. Now we've got a clip of the new music! Holy shit!
It's not much, but it's something! Here's hoping the group is actually in the studio for real this time, right? Also, what the hell is "#CaptainMidnight." One fan reversed the audio of the Instagram post too, because maybe this isn't meant to be heard backwards?
We'll post another Tool teaser sometime in 2026 when the group has another quarter of a song written.
