EMMURE's New Track "Russian Hotel Aftermath" Is Basically One Long Riff

It's not great, it's not bad.

It's not great, it's not bad.

Emmure 2017 is not quite the Emmure of yesteryear. The band is still fronted by Frankie Palmeri, who is now backed by Josh Travis (Glass Cloud, ex-The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravagazna), bassist Phil Lockett (ex-The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravagazna) and drummer Josh Miller (ex-Glass Cloud).

Emmure's first new song with the lineup was actually pretty solid. It had a few elements Emmure hadn't used in the past, and the songwriting was good. Now we've got "Russian Hotel Aftermath," which is more the Emmure you know. I don't hate the track at all, and maybe it'll grow on me, but upon my first listen I feel like there's not much going on to latch onto as a listener.

Emmure will be releasing Look At Yourself at some point in 2017. You can grab the first two singles here.
