We've poked our fun at Nickelback plenty over the years, but it seems like the joke has jumped the shark a bit. I mean, yes, when the school paper did it, it was funny – but when cops are getting in on the joke, not as funny.
One person who has had enough Nickelback bashing is friggen Deadpool. Yes, Marvel is re-releasing the R-rated Deadpool 2 as a more sanitized holiday-version, Once Upon A Deadpool. The movie is reframed under the guise of Deadpool telling actor Fred Savage a story, a spoof on Savage's role in the 80's cult classic, The Princess Bride.
Anywwwway, Nickelback comes up during the course of this promotional video and Deadpool will not have any bashing whatsoever, and it culminates with some humor:
