GUITAR HERO News: Soundtrack coming, new expansion pack released

In Guitar Hero II news: according to Scorehero.com, Trivium's "Detonation", Atreyu's "Right Side Of The Bed" and Protest The Hero's "Bury The Hatchet" will soon be showing up on the Xbox Live Marketplace as a downloadable content pack for the Xbox 360 version of "Guitar Hero II". The pack is expected to be made available for purchase around 2am PST Thursday, September 20th and will cost 500 Microsoft points.

Also, Interscope will be issuing a soundtrack companion for the upcoming multi-platform videogame "Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock" on October 23rd. The package will feature a traditional soundtrack of music from the game itself and an 'expansion pack' of songs for the game. The music portion of the CD will feature various songs from "Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock", including AFI's "Miss Murder", Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing" and "3's And 7's" by Queens Of The Stone Age. Included in the CD packaging will be a code which enables one to download 3 exclusive tracks from the Xbox Live Marketplace, all of which are formatted for play in the Xbox 360 version of "Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock". The three exclusive tracks run as follows:

Marilyn Manson – "Putting Holes In Happiness" (remix done by Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs)
Flyleaf – "Tina"
AFI – "Carcinogen Crush" (previously unreleased)
