Black metal wasn't always cool. Black metal arguably isn't cool now, but in the early 90s straight up nobody gave one single damn about it at its inception. Emperor frontman and solo artist Ihsahn discusses the early black metal scene, how it's really weird to be regarded as legends now, and how in 1991 nobody was making black metal to be trendy.
