Hallatar, the band featuring guitarist Juha Raivio (Trees Of Eternity, Swallow The Sun), vocalist Tomi Joutsen (Amorphis), and drummer Gas Lipstick (HIM), is a band born out of pure grief. The group centers around Raivio, who pays tribute to his fallen life partner and Trees Of Eternity vocalist Aleah Starbridge, who passed away in 2016. Hallatar's debut album No Stars Upon The Bridge is out this Friday and it's a fitting tribute to Starbridge just as much as it is an incredible death doom album that needs no excuses as to why you should like it.
